Bringing you a safe and relaxing stay
It seems an eternity ago that we closed our doors, but we are delighted to be back, and over-the-moon to welcome you all to Rothay Manor. We have under-taken a thorough covid-19 risk assessment and have plans in place to ensure the safety of our staff and guests. We will do our best to meet safety requirements without detriment to our main goal; to ensure you have a relaxing and enjoyable stay with us.
Enhanced Cleanliness and Sanitation
We have always been proud of the standard of cleaning within the hotel, but in light of the Coronavirus this will become even more stringent. A "Cleaning Angel" will be appointed throughout the day to ensure that all "touch points" are sanitised regularly. We have also invested in a high-efficiency cold-fogging machine, which will allow us to treat all guest-rooms with an anti-viral mist, specifically tested to British and European standards for the elimination of Coronavirus.
We all know the importance of hand-washing, and to make things easier hand-sanitising stations will be placed at the entrance to the hotel and the dining room for both staff and guests to use.
It is also worth noting that the staff have a dedicated changing area, so their work clothes will only be worn at work.
On arrival your room will have been treated with our anti-viral machine to deep-clean all hard and soft surfaces. We will have removed all items from the mini-bar but are offering a bespoke mini-bar service so you can fill it with your favourite tipple! We will still offer a daily clean, unless you would prefer otherwise, and our house-keepers will clean with enhanced safety measures in place.
We are very lucky to have very spacious public areas, and it goes without saying that all of our tables, within the restaurant, bar and lounge will be placed at a 2m distance. This does mean that we can only accept pre-booked dinner reservations at specific times, and we ask that you adhere to this time.
We have installed a screen at the Hotel reception, upon check in you will be shown directly to your room. Our team will then call your room phone to complete the check in procedure. Our reception will be open as normal to assist you throughout your stay, but we ask that you remain behind the screen at all times. Should our receptionist be busy please take a seat in the lounge until a staff member is available.
We will get in touch before your arrival by phone and email so you know what to expect and we can ensure that we are fully prepared for your stay.
Bar and Restaurant
As mentioned above, all our public spaces are spacious and we will ensure that all of our tables are placed 2m apart. We will ask that you pre-book your dining time and that you adhere to this time so we can ensure adequate social-distancing. You are still more than welcome to enjoy pre-dinner drinks in the bar/lounge.
For health and hygiene reasons we will be removing the buffet table at breakfast, but rest-assured that the service and choice will not be hampered by this.
Our team have been fully-trained in our new health and hygiene protocol and are all certified in the Direction Hospitality Covid-19 awareness course.
Face masks will be worn when a 2m distance can not be maintained. Additional hand-washing procedures have been introduced, and hands will be sterilised between each table interaction.
We fully understand how difficult it is to make any firm commitments at this time. With this in mind we have reduced our cancellation policy to just 72 hours we also promise to you to be fully understanding in all situations relating to CoVid-19.
