Children – children (aged 2 – 12 years) are welcome and most of our bedrooms are large enough for an extra bed. The charge is £20 per child per night (with the exception of our Loughrigg suite where children are charged at £50 per night). Please check on booking that the room booked can accommodate an extra bed. We may not be able to make provisions for children who are not declared at time of booking. Children under the age of 2 years when sleeping in a cot are free of charge.

Dogs – well-behaved dogs are welcome at a charge of £15 per dog per stay. Any damage caused by your dog must be paid for.

Room occupancy – it is assumed that two people will be occupying a room unless stated otherwise at time of booking. If not advised at time of booking a double-occupancy rate will be charged

Deposits – a £50 per room non-refundable deposit is taken at time of booking. For bookings over 3 nights a £100 per room non-refundable deposit will be taken (exceptions to this are made to Special Interest holidays and the festive period)

Cancellations – your deposit is non-refundable so it is advisable to take out holiday insurance to cover you in case of cancellation. If you do need to cancel your booking your deposit is transferable, and needs to be used within 6 months of the original arrival date.

If your cancellation is made within 2 weeks of your arrival date the full payment will be due unless we subsequently re-let the room.

Amendments – if you need to amend the length of your stay we reserve the right to charge in full for any cancelled nights.

Special rates – if you book on a special rate this must be mentioned at time of booking.

Special Interest Holidays – a £150 deposit is required for all special interest holidays. This is non-refundable so it is advised that you take holiday insurance.

If your cancellation is made within 2 weeks of your arrival date the full payment will be due unless we subsequently re-let the room.

Christmas/New Year – please check special policies at time of booking.
